Fountain Mother and child in St Petersburg
On June 11, 2018, on the eve of Russia Day, in the Mozaichnyy courtyard at Fontanka Embankment 2, the color music fountain "Mother and child" by Vladimir Lubenko was solemnly opened. It is a sculpture of a mother with a baby in a fountain made of marble, smalt and onyx.
The fountain is open to visitors every day from 10 to 23 hours, at nine in the evening every day turns on the original lighting. And Friday and Saturday evenings at the fountain music of classical composers, and also the songs written by Vladimir Lubenko sounds. In the future, the organizers plan to hold "live" musical and literary evenings, which will sound the works of the Master.
Vladimir Lubenko conceived the fountain as a symbol of the joy of motherhood. This is very symbolic, because the child is very similar to St. Petersburg, which Peter I blessed in the first way as the capital of the Russian state for the benefit and greatness of Russia. And the mother, as a United Russia, supports him, gives him strength and faith.
This project was made possible by the work of a unique creative laboratory. The author himself worked on many objects of the Museum in a Mosaic courtyard. The skill shown by the pupils of Vladimir Lubenko. This graduates of the Malaya Academy of arts-a unique author's school, created by the artist back in 1984, and continues to work successfully to this day.
