Work visas are given to foreigners who have an official employment contract in Russia. Only companies that are legally entitled to employ foreigners can apply for this type of visa. A work visa allows you to stay in Russia as long as you are employed by this company and gives you the right to work in the country. The employer will issue an invitation letter that must be presented to the Consulate in order to get a work visa.
