On June 5, the International Theater Olympiad 2019 will open, which will last until the end of September. (official dates of June 16 - September 19)

In total, 30 theater performances from 15 countries will show - directors of theaters in France, Germany, Belgium, China, Hungary, Poland, Italy, India, Romania, Greece, Japan and more will bring their performances.

The main venue of the event will be the Alexandrinsky Theater: most of the performances will take place on its Main and New Stages. In addition, according to the organizers, the Olympiad includes a scientific and educational part, which will be represented by a series of lectures and intensive master classes from leading theater figures from around the world.
