From the bottom of Ladoga Lake, the remains of the guard ship "Purga" began to be raised. In his search for the Belarusian diver Igor Matyuk took six years of life.

The ship sank in 1942 near the Osinovets lighthouse after a raid by German aviation. In 1942 and 1943, it was raised to the surface to remove weapons and running gear. Then he was towed to the Bay of Morye, where they forgot for many years.

Now there is a lifting of the bow of the ship. It is used to create a monument to the ships of the Ladoga Flotilla.
