Announcements in English will be tested on the violet line of the St Petersburg underground. Foreign speech will be heard for two weeks starting on the 22nd of January. The announcements on display will now also be shown in two languages. It is hoped that announcements in English will make the underground easier to navigate for foreign tourists and fans in preparation for the World Cup.
