Russian restorers intend to help the French in the restoration of the Paris Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris, which suffered from a fire.

Yulia Loginova, Deputy President of the Union of Restorers of Russia, noted that the incident was a total loss and no one should stand aside. Representatives of the national committee of ICOMOS of Russia, the Russian Association of Restorers and the Union of Restorers of Russia are ready to make recommendations and help France “in word and deed”. Currently, the main task of the French experts is to assess the condition of the cathedral’s structures and understand how much damage the fire caused to the monument. Some sources claim that the lower structures remained intact. According to preliminary data, work on the reconstruction of the cathedral will take at least ten years. It is too early to talk about the possibility to fully restore the building. April 15 in the Cathedral of Notre Dame, founded in 1163, the fire started.
