On June 12, more than 500 Petersburg musicians played at the Palace Square “The Flight of the Bumblebee” by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
The orchestra presented the most massive performance of the composition and now claims a world record. The performance took place during the festival of military orchestras, which was timed to the 175th anniversary of the birth of Korsakov. The composer created The Flight of the Bumblebee for the opera The Tale of Tsar Saltan.
