Only once a year it happens that museums, theaters, libraries and other cultural spaces are not closed at the end of the day, and arrange a night out for lovers of the beautiful. This year in St. Petersburg, the action will be held in mid-May.
Exhibitions, workshops, performances, concerts and other non-stop activities are the main charm of the “Night of Museums”. The action, which has already become a good Petersburg tradition, will take place this year on the night of May 18-19. The active preparation for the festival has already been completed: all participants came up with and approved programs on a given topic, which they chose during the competition in social networks. The wording “Elements” won. As the author of the idea explained, it’s about people, exhibits and spaces - everything that makes up a modern museum. In addition, in 2019, 150 years of the periodic system of Mendeleev will be celebrated, and this will also be reflected in the program.
