On May 13, the city began the restoration of the Rostral columns.

For this they were surrounded by scaffolding. In KGIOP promised to finish the work for approximately a month. Experts will put in order limestone sculptures, symbols of the Russian rivers of the Neva, Dnieper, Volga and Volkhov. In the near future, citizens will tell more details about the upcoming restoration. Rostral columns created in 1810 as lanterns, helping ships. Now they are lit in honor of significant events, the last time - in honor of Victory Day.
